a personal touch for your

treasured manuscript

"There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island." Walt Disney

Thank you for allowing me to do a sample of your work. It is always interesting and intriguing to read the works submitted by any writers, whether from "novice" or "published" authors.

What you will receive in return (within ten business days):

  • A detailed edit using Microsoft Word Track Changes.
  • Notes and/or style sheet that further explain the edits in the comment boxes and suggestions for areas of development or content revisions.
  • A cost estimate for the project that includes:  (1) A detailed description of editing to be done; (2) The rate per hour as well as the estimated number of hours needed to complete the project; (3) The estimated project cost; and (4) The length of time needed to complete the project.

What I will need from you:

  • A brief synopsis that includes: the genre and basic elements of the plot and main characters, the desired tone or mood of your story; and the style you are using to  express the story.
  • A five page sample, preferably a section that involves several characters, dialogue, narrative description, and any other elements that demonstrate the style and tone of the book. Your email should include the total number of pages of the manuscript so I can attach a cost estimate when I return your sample edit.
  • The type of editing you are seeking for your manuscript (please see the editing page for explanations).
  • Email me using the form below, and I will respond with 48 hours. We can then determine the date most feasible for you to forward the sample to me.

I will edit a five page sample of your manuscript (at no charge) that will provide you with an idea of the editing your project might need. This sample will allow you to see the quality of work I provide, as well as give me an indication of the work and hours needed for the completion of your project.
